This year’s SAG Awards was strictly virtual. Not to mention only an hour long. Which made it difficult to zoom in on all the dynamic beauty details. Luckily, thanks to certain makeup artists and hairstylists, we have the inside track on the best 2021 SAG Awards beauty looks.
It was all about the details for Kerry Washington. Not only did her shadow complement her Etro dress so did her flashy manicure. Jurnee Smollett also gave us lots to love by paring precise flicks with a pink pout.
When it came to locks, two stars really turned heads. Nicole Kidman’s slightly undone fishtail braid was the epitome of laid-back luxury. Jamie Chung rocked seemingly effortless, two-tone waves that projected a real Old Hollywood vibe.

We love how Kerry Washington’s purple shadow and dazzling mani tied into her Etro dress.

Kylee Heath for Olivia Garden created a romantic fishtail braid to complement Nicole Kidman’s beaded Armani dress. The hairstylist started by applying Philip B. Weightless Conditioning Water and Russian Amber Imperial Mousse on Nicole’s damp locks. Then she used the Olivia Garden Divine Wet Detangler Brush to brush the products from root to tip before blowing out the look using the Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Professional Hair Dryer and the Olivia Garden Essentials Styling Round Smoothing Brush for volume. Strands were smoothed using the Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Flat Iron. Then, after applying Philip B. Anti-Frizz Formula 57, she gathered the hair to the right and broke it up into two sections to created the fishtail braid. The final step? Pulling the braid gently apart and spraying a small amount of hairspray.

Celebrity hairstylist Peter Butler gave Jamie Chung "bouncy, full, healthy hair." He sprayed on Leonor Greyl Voluforme after rough drying her locks. Then he applied a tiny amount of Leonor Greyl Éclat Naturel styling cream to the ends before curling. The look was finished with Leonor Greyl Laque Souple to help hold everything in place.
