Fans of Normal People, Lady Bird, Little Women and Aftersun, you are not prepared for what lies ahead. Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal have announced that they will star in the next film called Foe. If that thought hurts your heart and you *first* read what it is, then you have the perfect gift.
By the way, I like it from the cast. Here's everything we know so far about Foe, including the premise, release date, and more. Ugh.
What is Foe's storyline?
Set in the near future, Foe follows a couple named Junior and Henrietta (played by Paul). Mescal and Saoirse Ronan live isolated on a farm in rural America. A mysterious stranger named Terrance appears on his doorstep and tells Junior that he has been selected for a government space program and that he will have to leave his home for several years to ease human life elsewhere in the universe. But Hen won't be alone either...
Director Garth Davis told Vanity Fair, "What I think is really impressive about the film is that it makes us feel wake up and live Most of the problems we face in our relationships, with the environment and with all kinds of things that happen to us are due to falling asleep at the wheel: "Wake up. Your life is precious and if you take it for granted, you will lose it."
Who was chosen to play the enemy?
Besides Paul Mescal as Junior and Saorise Ronan as Henrietta, from Underground Railroad actor Aaron Pierre will play Terrance.
Saoirse spoke to Document Journal about working with Paul and how she works with them. Reunited: "We had a collaboration in Australia early last year, filmed." . , called enemy. We met more or less by chance, simply through friends. Since we made the film, we've become really close. We're real friends, not Hollywood friends."
When is Foe's release date?
The film will be released on September 6th. In theaters October 2023, ahead of subsequent Prime Video release confirmed.
