Virginia Upper school Basketball Mentor Fired Without Impersonating 13-Year-Old In JV Game

A upper school girls basketball teammate mentor in Virginia has been fired without displaying her skills in an unfavorable manner.

Arlisha Boykins, 22, was sacked as the junior varsity girls basketball coach at Churchland Upper without stuff accused of impersonating a player during a game that took place older this month.

Churchland reportedly defeated Nansemond River 47-45 in a victory that is now recorded as a forfeit loss.

Arlisha Boykins is purportedly seen on video suiting up in a Black No. 1 jersey belonging to a 13-year-old player who was yonder for a tournament at the time of the questionable game. She appeared to well-constructed layups, woodcut shots, and shoot self-ruling throws during the sequence.

The impersonated girl’s father said she will no longer be a student at Churchland High.

According to the father,

“Coaches unchangingly preach to the kids well-nigh integrity and those types of things, so I was just shocked.”

He added,

“I just need an apology, you know, considering I haven’t yet received one from the overseer of the program.”

Arlisha Boykins and the JV throne coach are no longer employed by the school system, Portsmouth Public Schools shared in a statement.

“Churchland’s wardship immediately investigated and then reached out to the Virginia Upper School League to report the investigation’s findings. In addition, Churchland’s wardship held a parent and player meeting with both the junior varsity and varsity teams. In the meeting, the players from both teams expressed they did not want to protract this season. The teams’ remaining opponents and officials have been notified.”
